Servian welcomes Vibrato into the fold

Servian acquires Vibrato and takes a share in its sister company, Hava.

We are excited to announce that late last week we acquired automation and DevOps specialist Vibrato, cementing our position as the largest privately-owned pure play data consulting firm in Australia.

Melbourne-based Vibrato helps clients get products to market faster and more reliably. It was co-founded in 2015 by Peter Gatt and James Martelletti.

As part of the agreement, we have also taken a 40 per cent stake in cloud visibility software business, Hava, which is Vibrato’s sister company. James Martelletti will continue to lead Hava, whilst Peter Gatt will join Servian as a partner.

Like us, Vibrato partners with Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure. We both specialise in helping clients design, build and manage multi-cloud environments, and through the new partnership, we will be able to move customers to the cloud more quickly and efficiently.

Both teams are focussed on high-end technology, training and development and cloud partnerships. We believe in tackling complex problems to make people’s lives easier.

It will be a strong growth opportunity to have the Vibrato team join us in both the Sydney and Melbourne regions, taking our headcount to over 400.

What’s next

Both companies have grown small footprints in various overseas markets, but this geographic expansion is now expected to accelerate.

We have plans to expand our presence in the New Zealand market, with additional plans for a satellite office in the UK before the end of the year.

We are all excited by the new venture and how it will transform the company’s capabilities. Our clients will have access to a broader set of specialist skills.

There are many things to consider when looking at options for investments and acquisitions, but culture — that fundamentally we will still be the same company — has been at the forefront of the priority list for us. Vibrato’s reputation in the market for DevOps and their passion for technology was the first thing that brought them to our attention. In getting to know the team, we quickly realised that there was a strong alignment between our culture and values.

We are very happy to welcome Vibrato into the Servian fold and know that our like-minded love for technology will have us well placed to achieve great things together.
