Target was faced with the impending end of life of the hardware that houses SAP Hybris. SAP Hybris supports the Target website and online store experience. SAP Hybris is a core component of Target’s customers shopping experience, and enables almost every Target team member either directly or indirectly. Moving SAP Hybris was a daunting prospect and the Target team wanted to fully understand the risks and benefits of moving the system to the cloud on AWS.

Target engaged Servian to assist in planning, designing and executing the migration of SAP Hybris to AWS. Designing a new home in the cloud, based on AWS Landing Zones and Servian’s Cloud Foundations, the team were able to provide confidence in the new home, demonstrate PCI compliance, robustness, reliability and scalability whilst shortening the migration timeframe from months to weeks. Using Kubernetes, EKS, Route53 Hybrid Resolvers, AWS Inspector, the Servian team were able to build out CIS compliant, PCI compliant, monitored and resilient patterns for Hybris, and provide bootstrapping solutions for future application development.
